Mission trip to Fiji

Caitlin, intern in New Zealand: We went on a three week missions trip to Fiji with 32 teens and 20 leaders. In the second week of the trip we had a youth program at night in one of the schools in Suva. Tom (WOL NZ Director) preached on bringing your baggage and laying it at the foot of the cross. He had me come up and sing for the invitation. Tom invited anyone who had been holding onto baggage to come and lay it down. As I sang I was amazed at how many Fijians came forward. But my heart leaped for joy when I saw our teens coming and wanting to lay their burdens and baggage at the foot of the cross.
Over the trip at the school and teen programs, street evangelism and camps we saw many Fijians come to know the Lord. Of course, that wasn’t as exciting as seeing every single teenager who came home to New Zealand changed. We’ve been home for over a week now and through conversations with the teens I can see God is still changing and working in their lives. I’m so thankful to be a part of this ministry and be able to see so many lives changed.
